Welcome to "Pogue's Posts!"
I'm back after 12 years
My column is back!
Yes, it’s me, your old New York Times tech columnist pal, David Pogue, writing weekly columns again after a 12-year break!
After consulting my followers on Facebook, I have a name for the new column: “Pogue’s Posts.” That’s what my old NY Times email column was called, so it feels right. Continuity!
This time around, you don’t have to pay for a subscription. This column is free—and free of ads, too. (At some point, I may offer a paid tier with things like videos and live meet-ups, but the written column will always be free.)
If you sign up, by clicking “Subscribe” below, this column will come to you by email. I’ll treat your email address like the precious jewel that it is. Meaning: I won’t share it with anyone for any reason.
This weekly or twice-a-week column will cover topics like:
Tech. Design, reviews, developments in AI…
Behind-the-scenes stories from my “CBS Sunday Morning” work…and, in the short term,
Scenes and interview excerpts from the creation of my new book, Apple: The First 50 Years, to be published March 10, 2026 by Simon & Schuster.
After I left the Times, I spent five years at Yahoo Tech (yeah, I’ve forgotten those years, too), and then in 2018, I went full time with “CBS Sunday Morning,” the greatest job in the world. I hope to keep doing stories for that show until I can’t see the camera anymore.
But meanwhile, I really miss writing columns—and so, here we are.
Please spread the word, sign up for email delivery, and enjoy the Return of “Pogue’s Posts!”
